Grow light Question

Went to my local swap meet and picked up a couple awesome grow light. Wanted to ask which kinda light bulb does this need and i wanna use it for my Seedlings and veg would it work? Also it plugs into a Ballast not 110v into the wall. Inside where the bulb goes, Says 2000 watts 200 volts. Im Not exactly Sure What They did with this light lol. Could i gut out the wiring and make it a Lower Power like 100 watts Throw a t5 in there?

That's just a reflector for a HID lighting you would still need to buy the bulb, and the ballast. I hope you didnt spend too much on that

Those are just hoods, and very rough ones at that. The picture of the taped wires is unsettling. They take standard hps/mh bulbs (E39 I believe) anywhere from 250-400-600-1000W bulbs being the most common.
You can buy the socket and cord alone without the tin for about $16 new.

so with a 1000 watt ballast, Could i plug in a 250w bulb in there safely? im all new to the Ballast thing lol
