Hi to all well after some thought i think it's about time to finally put a grow journal up.

I'll kick off with a 4x8 tent.
1200w of lighting
2 intakes and 1 exhausting the heat through my carbon filter.
Ph ec and ppm is spot on ( if you're plants are having trouble in the beginning then that and feeding will most probably be the problem) get it right and you'll be rewarded .
Coco coir and perlite for medium
Temps are perfect also.
Feeding with canna classic vega and flores all the way with some other extras in the formula.
So far I'm three weeks or so from seed so here's some pics...
Running - 1 great white shark - 2 mendo purple kush - 2 sweet deep grape fruit - 3 green cracks and 2 pineapple chunks
Really thinking about scrogging this grow, any thoughts? Or perhaps just lst em...

Probably left afew things out but Thanks for visiting ✌

BenGMan,
Hey dude..off to a good start.

Just curious and not grow related...why have a grow log...and a thread? Does one offer advantages over the other?

You started your little seedlings in fairly large pots. I see this a lot on the forum. I'm use to starting small and up-potting. This a coco thing?

Looking forward to your grow,
JD

Hi John :blsmoke: thank you , i just felt like creating a thread one night and just decided to do it.. for other's to see and for myself also. Never know when someone might give me some good advice and i love knowledge :!:

Personally i just like putting them straight into their new home from seed without ever having to move them at all, let alone having to transplant. I've never done it and prolly never will unless i really had too. All i know is they grow really fast regardless and I'm happy with the results in any type of medium i use.

i got my scrog net today and putting it up in the morning bongsmilie i love growing specially after i switch to 12/12.

BenGman,
The up-potting thing evolved in soil. It was hard to water with just a tiny plant because it wasn't drinking much.

But coco is different in so many ways.

I like messing with plants and don't mind transplanting. It's one of the easier things I have to do. I've done bonzai-ed clone mother plants, E&F hydro, waterfarm, hempy bucket...

but I've never done scrog. I'm thinking I should correct that deficit. So I'm here to see how it's done.

I did not know that, about the repotting in soil technic till now aha. Makes sense tho but whenever I've grown in soil it just goes straight in the ground...seems to work best for me.

I've never done a scrog either or grown in a tent, so this is my first run with it and just wanna dial it in the best i can. I am mainly hoping i flip at the right moment.. I'll get to know the girls well tho over time :bigjoint:

BenGman,
Oh hell ya...up-potting was s.o.p. There was a guy named BushyOldGrower BOG...actually he's still around but just does seeds. He even wrote a book about the BOG method of up-potting and doing organics.

So this is your first scrog. That's even better since you are now facing what I will be facing next winter.

Hey, I'm trying to help a noob with his grow but I've never used a tent. How do people usually ventilate them. An exhaust fan with carbon filter and a passive intake. Or what?
Later,
JD

Yeah that's exactly what i got running, 1 exhaust attached to the carbon filter blowing the warm air out, and 2 intake fans..it's winter here at the moment so i run lights at night and usually only need one intake fan on and exhaust on the lowest setting, keeping the temps perfect :)
