Grow is going great!! But am I showing sex?

So my grow is going great! I'm on day 54 of my very first grow. I have three plants all in FFOF and all under a 600 watt MH light. 16/8


My question is, are my plants showing sex? If not, when should I expect them to do so?

they won't show sex untill you flower it.
unless you veg long enough for preflowers. My last run took about 60days to show preflowers
but every strain\grow room is different
 
How high do you have your light hanging over that plant?

Also, do you have a fan blowing on those gals?

with the way thats shaped. It don't look like a good flower


and I try to stay in the 18-20" mark if I got the air cooled hood I stay as close as I can
 
Yeah it looks to be turning female for you. A lot of strains I have grown usually will show signs of male quite sooner than signs of female, if I plant regular seeds. So technically, with it just now showing at 54 days of veg, that's a good thing. The 2 hairs should be coming out of the pistil within the next few days to a week. Going to be very thin and hard to notice at first. If you were to see a cluster of a few little ball looking pods in that spot, it would be a male. Me personally, I would top all of them to allow the branches to come out. They look good. Keep up the good work.

Hey man, thanks for the great info!

I did some research on topping.
Judging from the sizes of the plants it seems like a good point in time to top them.

I went ahead and topped them last night after I turned the lights on for 16/8 cycle. I figured they would need as much light as possible after going through that kind of trauma. I also gave them some water for the night right now.

Keep 'em green. One thing about sexing plants, when you see it, you'll never have to ask again. You'll be able to spot a pistil from across the room. G/L, hope its a girl!
 
Yeah for sure. Just keep an eye on that spot where the internode is and it will show up with a sex soon for ya. The first initial hairs that come out are sometimes very faint, so look close.
