Hey Everyone!
I'm brand new to the forum, but I've been growing bud on and off for years. This is my first time, however, without using a growbox...
I'm currently converting a closet into a grow room. It's apporximately 2' X 2' and 7' tall, so it's not a very large space. I've painted the entire inside a nice even matte white. I'm going to use 150W HPS edison bulbs with an output of approx. 14,000 lumens, because based on the research I have done, that seems to be a healthy amount of light. I'll be adding an exhaust and carbon filter, and eventually I hope to add a C02 system.
I do have a few burning questions:
1 - What would be the best setup plant-wise? how many plants can I grow in this tiny closet? Should I go for one 4-5 foot champ, with a cloning station on a shelf above? should I put the shelf in the middle and have two 3 footers? can a 2' X 2' floor space accomodate more than one plant, given my lighting? That is my most important question.
2 - If I have an exhaust sytem running constantly, will this actually suffocate the plants by drawing too much air out? Forgive me if this is a stupid question, I've never had an exhaust system before.
3 - I really don't want to go with a yeast or baking soda C02 system. I'm willing to spend a little extra $$$ 1-200$ for a real C02 diffuser. Is there something I can make myself that uses a C02 tank? Where can I find a C02 system not designed for underwater/aquarium use?
