Grow box, CFLS, and your opinions

So I will by turning my stand into a grow box tomorrow, or just starting fresh. Either way the approximate size is going to be 2ftx4ft. I will be using cfls. The bulbs I am currently working with are Ecobulb daylight. 2800 lumens, 6500k, 200w equivalent (uses 42 watts) I currently have four of them. Totaling 11,200 lumens. They will have a reflector hood as well. I will be attempting to scrog with this.

How many bulbs would you suggest, or total lumens for a 2x4 space?
Are cfls like fluro in that you want them to be as close as possible?

Yea you want your lights as close as you can get em just not so close they touch the leaves or burn em... And I'd use as many as you possible can... Just remember light is food the more light the bigger they can get... How many plants you planning on growing in your box?

as much as possible. I was considering scrog, but unsure yet. If i had to put down a number I would say 8-10 about 4' high

Also, I am considering putting in 16 bulbs for a total of 44,800. for 8 sqft. Is that overkill? and is it necessary to put cfls on the sides if i have reflection and that many lumens above the plants already?

Yea it's necessary cuz the cfl's only reach so far before it starts fading but the more the better is my motto I have as many as I have room for ScroG should work fine
