they definatly have advantages. if you dont move em a whole lot. constantly distrubing the roots is not good for growth. if you need to relocate your plants alot pots are the answer

if you feal the need to move your plants go for it, but putting them in a pot means you have to water them, which will eventually leave a trail and make it necesarry for you to move them. i prefer to transplant into well ammended soil, the tap root will reach the water table in a month and you will never need to water it unless it gets very dry, i have had to transplant 4 foot plants before and never have lost one, the hardest part is carrying the heavy dirtball in the humid summer. most people could walk within 20 feet of my plot and never see it, a few growbags (kinda pricy by the way) look pretty obvious.

damn my local brew shop charges a lot more than i wanna pay for a thick garbage bag, i dunno, i have 4 cats and have been saving the 5 gallon cat litter buckets in my garage for years, never had the urge to use more than a few for some emergency transplants.
