Ground too wet

hey guys i found the prefect spot but the ground is really wet, I mean when i was digging the holes when I lifted out the soil it would make a sucking slurping noise, is there anything i can do to restrain the water. the soil might be too wet and dense to grow in.

I would say that is pretty wet.

Try reading Shamans "Good soil in a burlap sac" I am using it to start a grow in a swamp, and it doesnt get any wetter than that, also if you get the Miracle Grow Moisture Control Miracle-Gro® Moisture Control® Potting Mix
you will not need to really go out and tend them as much.

Use the bountiful water to your advantage, let it water your plants for you. You could also build mounds of dirt and then grow on them.

mixing a lot of straw will help dry and drain it out, just becarefull your soil isn't too dense, lots of moist mud has a lot of clay in it, and is very hard for roots to penatrate when dry.

Hey JUMPPER How's it growin. Nice to see some one else from Ont. Elevated bed's are easy to build and work well. Or mounds of soil. And my favorite Burlap sac's filled with soil.
