I'm new to the forums and to growing so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My system is the following:

600w 5 spectrum led light
Rainforest 66 with three plants

I got this system from a friend that has been growing for a number of years, most recently in this system and he only let me have it because he is moving out of country and doesn't want to ship anything he can buy after he arrives.

I have heard that hydro is harder than soil but easier than aero and I'm not exactly sure where this system actually falls. From what I can read it appears to be a aero/DWC hybrid. Again any advice would be great on how to run this system.

View attachment 1187299Hydro has a different pH reality when it comes to nutrient uptake.

Organic soil has an easier time of nutrient uptake in my opinion. I have a chart some place.

So looking at the soil vs the Hydro of this chart from Growkind you can see that maintaining a pH balance is important.

That's it on hydro advice from me. I'm old-skool organic soil.
