I got a few gonna get composted as well, just not performing. 9 chem Dog reg seeds, 2 I really like, 3 more I like too just not as strong, 4 will become next crops food if they don't get there bitch asses doing something. 4 of the 5 I like are confirmed females. Cloning the fat ass girly center stage. Its my 2nd clone I've ever done, wish her luck. All my experience is from 3 yrs of outdoor greenhouse growing from seed. So I never got into cloning. I like to LST the shit out of em though, its my zen time getting to hang out in there.

I’m super impressed with your work here @Greenthumb256 ! I’ve been using blumats with 25g pots of living soil. The blumats are a pain in the ass for me. As soon as I think I have them dialed in they start drifting, either putting out to much water or not enough. I’m going to give these sips a try after seeing your results.
I’ve got a couple of questions for you if you don’t mind buddy.
The sips I’ve seen in the past have used two totes, one inside the other. What do you think the pros and cons are of doing that compared to using the top cut out like your doing? My concern is being able to clean out the water reservoir without having to dump the soil. And now, I forgot my second question... lol

well I've never used or really seen a 2 tote sip, I'd assume it would be for the reason u stated and being able to clean it, I don't really think I need to clean mine bc if the em1! and technically if I did have to empty it, I could pull out the the tube thing i use to measure the water!
I'm sorry I know that doesn't answer your question but unfortunately I can't answer it, bc i don't know! hell you could fill the ocean with everything I don't know lol!

I would say one pro would be it's cheaper lol 1 tote rather than 2 lol, sorry couldn't help myself on that one!

Walmart like 6 or 7 bucks, but I've messed up two trying to get the pvc pipe, through it, both split and had a big crack, needless to say they won't hold water! I'd say getting a thick one is nice, but remember if your doing the way i do it, you have to cut the lid, I use a razor blade bc of my lack of tools, so any thicker and it would be a pain, well it already ain't easy!

Yeah having them split would be a pain in the ass. It’s an all day trip for me to go to town. I live on an island and have to take a ferry. I’ll have to be extra careful!

I omitted the pvc tubes from mine and went with this drain pipe ($5 at hardware store for 10 ft pc) as the support below the tray in my design which is similar to yours. Used a 6 inch net pot ($1 at my local grow store) i epoxied onto bottom of the tray to keep that in place. I got some burlap I use like a mulch in the garden I'll use in the net pot then fill with coco. I got a fill tube not installed yet, and a site tube like yours not installed yet, I'll have a couple of em ready for heisenbeans crosses. Have about 120 gal of cooking soil getting ready as I wait, and another light almost complete for them too.

a cheap wood burning tool (like the ones artists use) works great for cutting thick plastic totes. that's what I used to cut exhaust vents in my home made humidifier for my mushroom tent

oh yeah and my very first cycle I don't even have pics of! I placed 20 germed beans in solo cups, but it never occurred to me to put holes in the bottom of the Solo cups! lol needless to say, they never sprouted! lmfao, dam things were swimming, or should I say drowning!

yeah man, truly started from nothing lol, used old living room lamps for lights! I've never had a ton of money to invest in this until now! we all had to start from somewhere!
those were my first lights, soon after I bought me first 150w hps, then a t5! lol
Ebay or Amazon, got mine off Ebay. Search hydrofarm 1/2" rubber grommet.

I was looking on Ebay just a minute ago and the best deal I seen was 25 ct for $11 or $12 which is a lot more than I pd back when I got mine, but i only looked at the first page. You might just search "1/2" rubber grommet" and look through all the listings and find a better deal or ck Amazon.
