It looks like you have a major Algae problem. From the picture it looks like its all in your roots. Algae can form if light gets onto your water, if the Ph is too basic, if the water temp (in my case) gets above 70 deg F. People can put hydrogen peroxide in their water and it can help disinfect. I put about 1 teaspoon per gal. You can also buy products made to protect roots. I'd def take some clones to ensure the plant lives on. You might want to choose a different system. Sorry

Im going to have a scrape 2mo. i already cleaned out the res & covered the tray etc. Anything I can add to kill it?

So it wont affect the plants then?

So the yellow leaves...what could that be?

I would suggest(if you can) removing the plants from their holders and putting them with roots hanging in vases somewhere while you clean out and run some water through your system. you need to run some chlorine bleach through it with the water. Use 1 cup of bleach per 10 cups of water, and run it through your system for 5-10 minutes. Empty out, run clean water through for 15-20 minutes. you should be ready to put the plants back in!

note: you may also want to wait till your system dries, then run more clean water through it again. it is just a safety precaution to take, in case any untamed chemicals creep out of your system while it's drying, this way you will rid of them before they start the algae problem all over again :peace:

They are in rockwool which is now attached to ther spreader mat via the roots. How do I get around that?

Also im away for 7 days from monday, will they flop?
