Green Spots in Coco?

Hi all! First time closet grow here. I'm doing great, and am two weeks into veg. today i noticed some dark green spots on the surface of the coco. Has anyone ever seen anything like that? what is it? is it bad?

That is algae. It will compete as small amount for moisture and nutrients. The main concern with algae is if it forms a thick layer over the Coco media to little O2 will get to the roots. Many people cover the coco nedium with reflective panda wrap. It is black plastic film covered with refective white film. Some just cover the medium with a layer of coarse gravel.
