I have done some statistical studies to find out who is getting arrested in Texas and how.
There simply are no arrests of old people growing for their own use. Arrests of others, stoners, etc. do not occur at home in the absence of something else, like a domestic disturbance or a shooting. Most all arrests for marijuana are added on to some crime an individual commits. Sometimes for example a stoner will get caught for speeding and have a bag of weed on the seat or foolishly allow an officer to search the car, or something else that is avoidable. Arrests only occur when weed leaves the house. Growing at home is safe as long as no one else knows and none leaves the house.
Odds of a person being arrested just for smoking pot are almost zero.
Why should Grandmother grow weed? For health reasons. Taking just a small amount of infused oil per day lengthens life and cures and prevents most maladies old people are likely to have of get.
Within my own family I have seen glaucoma cured and lupus disappear. Others who use infused oil have more positive reports. Infused oil is great for insomnia. If a lot of grandmothers grow, it will benefit legalization efforts. Sadly, laws are never repealed due to citizens working within the system.
