I completely understand why you are lying about voting for Trump.

Those oil companies are not going to compensate people for poisoning or killing their neighbors. They can't. Those wells would not be profitable if the operators had to pay up for poisoning and killing people, their land and their water. They have enough money to fund phony studies and lobbyists but not enough to make a family whole after they ruin their health. They say they can't make a profit if they have to follow common sense rules that require safe setbacks. We all know they don't follow the existing rules of operation, which is why the set backs are needed. They kill people for the money. It's blood money, they know it, so fuck 'em.

Please point me to legislation written by Republicans that protect jobs from automation, be it AI or not. That kind of legislation would have come from unions but Republicans have pretty much wiped them out with the so called right to work laws. Come to think of it, can you point me to any Republican legislation that protects jobs or workers from rapacious practices by big business?

The technical status of A-I is overblown by English majors who write articles using PR releases from the "fake it until you make it" world of high tech. Even the most sophisticated computers are way too dumb to replicate what a human brain can do. If I were you, I'd be more worried about conventional automation of the kind that has wiped out jobs in agriculture. Why aren't you bothered by that? There were millions of people who worked in AG just 50 years ago. Now, it's hard to fill schools in many rural communities and jobs are hard to come by there.
