Gotta make a decision on harvest

Hi all. I'm leaving for a week and it appears my FYSH plant is ready for harvest. Not sure how well known these seeds are, FYSH stands for Fuck You Stephen Harper, and has a short growing season. I have to decide if I leave the plant as is and have the housesitter water for another week, or whack it at the base and hang it to dry in a spare room. I don't know how smelly it will be... I don't want it to bother the housesitter. I don't mind if the bud is in the CBN phase, I prefer it. TIA for your opinions.

Thanks, I'm leaning towards letting it go. It's actually two plants. Don't ask, "newbie" here. :)
It's not such a bad thing to plant a few in the same container depending on how much sativa is in it it's actually helpful believe it or not.

Also did you know it's the mexican style to plant 3 together every time? More sativas down in mexico plus when growing from seed you can cull the males are odds are theres atleast 1 female in every spot still

I'm not sure what you mean. I only have a magnifying glass. All I know is most of the stigmas are brown, except for the lowest buds. The trichomes seem to be turning brown as well. Overall the buds have become very "sugary" looking in the past few days.

i agree with growingff, did you scope the calyx?

That is interesting! I planted 3 seeds each in 3 pots. 4 sprouted, 2 males and 2 females. These are my two females. I didn't want to transplant and cause shock so I left them.

Calyx are located on stem, below each Bud site. When they look swollen, the pistil hair coming out are browned, and the trichome heads look milky, or cloudy.
A cheap loupe from Amazon that magnifys at least 30x, 60 and higher are better.
Happy harvest.

the calyx is the section of the plant, (google it) that matters when you read the trikes. anywhere else can give you FALSE readings. it is the little pointy ball with a point, looks like RIU's mascot character in heading? will try and send pic but gosh im swamped right now

I have a hand-held microscope I use. You could get a jeweler's loupe. Look at what stage your trichomes are. Milkly, clear, or amber.
