Shit. Got to wait till the morning to use scale! Get back on ya tomorrow for weight.

But if i had to guess a pound n a half. Is that good?

More cactus = More mescaline.

I would guess 2 lbs, or 900g because that seems to be a favorite of a few vendors I had checked out.

Peace

so that is related to san pedro and peruvian torch? how does it relate in amount of mescaline to those other strains?

Just put it on some dry sandy soil, the roots will come eventualy, pick it up every month until you see roots, then water lightly.

just on top is fine, try to block light going under it though, but you also don't want to make a damp trap.

No I meant make sure the soil is far enough around the edges that light can't get under. I keep mine in a shadehouse, which uses those green fibreglass roofing sheets, probably like 50% or more shade.
Don't water, there are no roots! When you SEE roots, water. Use a small pot just bigger than the base when you get the first few roots, smaller pots dry out faster. Once its established Get a nice big pot,
The length of the cactus can be a rough guide for the diameter. It is almost impossible to underwater, but very easy to overwater. Always water in the evening, never when its hot. Learn to look for the little chins that form between spines when its full of water. Gradualy make them used to sunlight, at first for short periods then extending it.

Lol, oh the confusion of the internet, if you can't balance it upright after sticking like half an inch or so under the soil, just place it on its side, that provides more pups actualy. Either way will work.

ok i got it all planted. uploading pics. i made my own soil.

1 part potting mix. 2 parts fine sand. at the bottom i used broken brick.
