Well I got laid off today. For the third time in a row. First Lawn Doctor, then Circuit City now an undisclosed Honda motorcycle dealership. This shit is crap. Not only is that shit crap my manager waits till the end of the day to tell me, and he knew all day. I cant stand that shit just be a man and tell me befor I work all day. I could of been looking for another job.
Its rediciolus business are droping left and right, more worried about were they can cut cost than taking care of their employees. The very people that keep the company going.
And its only gonna get worse with the economy so bad people are taking more shit from their boss because they are afraid to lose their jobs. I say fuck that, don't be a slave to a shitty company because you are afraid to lose your job. Compromise in a situation is ok, but compromising yourself in a situation is unacceptable.
Most of us spend more time at work than at home or with family, why spend all that time working for these companies that don't give two shits about you or your family. Sorry for the rant but this shit is really starting to piss me off. But with any dark cloud there is a silver lining, after my experiences lately with employers I have chosen to start my own business. As this is the only way I can be free.
This is not ment to be political in any way. Some of you may say thats just the same old "stick it to the man" speech. Its not. Im simply saying, "Were did all the common courtesy go?" When did we start being dicks to each other, just because its easyer than just doing the right thing. And dont get me wrong I not trying to be all high and mighty either. I could of asked my 65 year old neighbor if I could cut her grass for her, or spend more time with my grandmother.
Thanks for reading and I hope this way of thinking appeals to you. If not Im always open to opinions and discussion. You never know what other peoples experiences will bring to the table.
Which leads me to my next point. Everyone is under the asumpton that when you quit a job you are sopposed to give two weeks notice right? If an employer expects that out of their employes why the hell dont they give people 2 weeks notice when they lay them off?
