got a lot of weed...just wondering.

This is a great way to use the shake or vaped weed**you don't know what to do with and you don't want to make hash. Shake from sativas or sativa bud can make you down right trip.

Vaped weed and indicas tend to be more narcotic....
>1 ounce shake (anything with resin gland will work)
1 quart whole milk or cream
pure water
"permanent" plastic coffee filter or other straining device.



First gather all your weed you are going to use. find a pan that your weed will sit comfortably in while it is extracted, probably a sauce pan. Put the weed in and poor in water to cover it easily but not boil over. You are going to simmer the weed in the water to get rid of the water soluble junk that make it taste like garbage.

Simmer this until the water is mostly gone. Drain off the lawn clipping smelling juice using the plastic coffee filter throw the smelly stuff away. repeat the simmering process a few times. The slower and longer the the better for taste.

Water boils at 210 F and THC boils at around 360 F so degradation shouldn't be an issue. I do it at least until the water runs clear when draining it off.
Now the actual extracting: you are going to do two pulls on the weed to make sure you get the good stuff out of the weed and into the milk. leave the weed in the pan you simmered it in and pour half of the cream or milk over it. Now is the only place you can mess it up. GENTLY heat the milk/weed combo* for about a half hour. stirring to keep from scorching. Pour off the first pull using the coffee filter just like before but into the final container. i use a glass pitcher to avoid any melting issues. Now simmer the weed with the other half of the milk. after the second pull the weed is ready for trash or hot compost. keep it away from your critters though, they'll want to eat it for sure and i couldn't tell you the effects on them would be.
