Hey all, recently popped a few carmelicious seeds and a green bud.

Attached are images of them, one of my carmelicious has been a real fighter since day one, when germing it was the first to pop and had a long root much faster than the others, and has always been doing well

The rest have been growing slowly, and strangely!

carmels are in the darker soil, its nursery master organic potting soil. one friend had hypothesized that the soil was "too strong" containing too many nutrients for a seedling. Not sure about this though, since the other one seems to be doing great in it , same strain...

green bud in the coconut mixture

all are under 2 T8 flourecent fixtures for the next week to be put under MH

dang, no suggestions as to what would be causing the weird growth in 2 of them?
my best guesses would be either high heat (they were out on the deck for the first week and it did get pretty hot) or being placed directly into soil thats too rich in nutrients ?

Naw, they are in Nursery Master Gardener's Gold organic potting soil though, whihc has Sphagnum Peat Moss, Aged Bark, Composted Manure, Composted Shellfish, Perlite, and pH Adjusted

Would this soil be better to use after a couple week of seedling growth?

I woudl say WAY too much water... just looking at your soil on all the dark mediums and they look drenched! Cut back your watering, water only when the top is crusty and even then poke your finger in about an inch and make sure its dry there too.

hey reverof, thanks for the reply! Though the pictures were taken RIGHT after a watering and I allowed the soil to get bone dry 2 inches down before doing so.
The plants with deformed leafs and the one doing great are of the same strain, same soil, and on the same watering schedule

Last time I had a mutant...I stuck it outside - assuming it would die soon - the mutant quickly outpaced all of my indoors by like double and it grew into an 8 foot tree.

just go with it
