Soaked seeds in water overnight, they'd all sunk the day after (a good sign! ) placed them into paper towels and placed onto heat matt started sprouting within 24hrs placed them into soaked soil cubes under plastic domes, first signs of heads popping through the soil within hours gives confidence seeds are good! ... Fingers crossed!

All seeds have sprouted now but they did need a lot of love and coaxing!.. One of the seeds managed to do a somersault in the soil pod and ended up with the root pointing straight up out of the soil!. I carefully flipped it around and put the root downwards and all seems well now. I also took some of the seed shells off the cotyledons as they looked a bit stuck so I helped them along a bit. Will be planting into small pots today.

Plants have gone into the room today. Seemed to be growing really slowly I was thinking it might be something to do with the cold temps (15c). Bought an inkbird Thermostat that I hooked up to an oil filled radiator for heat and hooked an rvk fan to the cooler side. It's a good bit of kit that has WiFi so I can monitor the temps of the room on my phone from anywhere. Temps are steady 24c. Put the seedlings under the leds at 30% power 24 inches from the canopy. Been watering them with a spray bottle with a weak mix of roots excelarator added.

Bought some new gear... Got a 315w cmh light from DLI (Dutch lighting innovations) can't express how pleased I am with it... I'm used to 600w hps with old magnetic ballast and Dutch barn shades... These things blow them away!. I was impressed with the Mars Hydro led's but these things are like spaceships! They ooze quality. Even come with a pair of white gloves to handle the bulbs and a built in spirit level for leveling up!. The only way I can describe the light off them is sunshine on a bright sunny day!... Beautiful!. Anyway I mounted the cmh on a light rail to run along side my led's. Everything feels right. I picked up some plant magic cal mag which I've never used before so gonna see what the fuss is about. I'll post some pics of the new light for anyone who stumbles across this post

Another addition to the room arrived today. A Mars Hydro TSW2000. Happy with the light although disappointed it doesn't come with the meanwell drivers like my other one (apparently they only come fitted to the ts3000 model) but I'm happy enough with it regardless... Seems like a decent light.

Had to build a stick "thing" to stop the light from spinning on the light rail it was driving me crazy!. Apparently you can buy a "proper" one but they wanted a small fortune for it and I'd have had to wait for days postage. Made my own instead from some scrap aluminium and some eye bolts & washers... Works perfectly... No more spinning lights!

Not much to report. They're growing happily. Fed today decided to start adding the 3 part flora-bloom stuff but at ¼ strength to be safe. Adjusted the pH with a couple of drops of pH up from 5.8 to 6.3 (I don't like using too much its nasty stuff!). Also tested ppm of the feed and it's around 250, I've read it should be between 500 and 600 so I'm a little low but like I said I'm only giving ¼ nutes so maybe I'll build up gradually over the next couple of feeds to 500-600 mark and see how they react

#update really happy with how the ladies are doing... Was reading a thread somewhere the other day while checking on my strains. Found one dissing barney's farm seeds... Don't know what batch they got but these things are almost identical so for me the seeds are top notch!... I've upped my feed to 350ppms and not seen any negatives so might push them some more to experiment!

Forgot to mention I threw in 2 free seeds... Sour orange auto and a skunk auto... Of course they're now the bigger, better looking plants but that always seems to happen!.. freebie seeds always end up beasts!

Update on the ladies...topped all plants even the two auto's (I figured they looked healthy enough and were on their 5th node so was worth the risk) two days later the skunk no1 has started showing pistols!.. Not sure if I caused that by topping her but nevermind. transplanted all the plants into 12.5 ltr pots and gave a good watering. The bigger pots really show how small and compact the plants are. This is my first attempt at growing an indica dominant strain and also first time using led's so I'm a bit confused with where the light should be height wise. At the minute they're at 24 inches/ 60cm and at 75% power. Is short and compact a good thing? Should they be taller by week 3 from seed?

Tried some lst on the ladies today (half of them) ...also did a little trimming on some of the bigger fan leaves that was in the way. Also gave the two autos some moab powder (0.2g per litre) plants have been getting 3ltrs of water every 2 or 3 days and seem to be liking it. I also switched on the 315W DLI on the light mover rail now that the autos have started flowering and they seem to be responding well
