im going to be growing outside with no convenient water supply. i live in texas so the summer heat can really take a toll on the plants down here for lack of water.so if any one has a suggestion on what i can do to keep them watered that would be great. thanx in advance

In texas when are you thinking about puttin your plant outside?? But you could just bring the water to it...what part of texas you maybe able to let mother nature do the water .

I am in climate zone 5 and having the same issues. I know I can't lug water out even twice a week. I need something I can check up on weekly. I have a strain that I know is grown in Mexico so I know it is hearty. I am going to dig trenches to catch rain but I don't know if that will be enough.

im trying to think up somekind of rain catcher also. i have a couple of ideas of what i would like to do, but i have the problem of it being too visable. like one idea was to get a really large storage container and burry it mostly in the ground and having a hose or some kind of pipe in the top of the container with a make shift funnel that would catch the rain.

the rain catcher is an idea and in addition to that you could look into these things called 'water crystals' you put em into soil and roots will tap into them when needed i guess but anyway look it up on google and there will be alot of things for that... havent used them but their suppose to last a couple months without water with those water crystals

Get has mant buckets with lids on take one day out just filling them make sure that you put them near the grow then you won'y have has far to travel put lids on when full.and when the weather forcaster says that it is gonna rain take the lids off and let them full this works well in the uk because of the ammount of rain we have make sure that they are well away from any paths take lids off and cover with twigs and dead leaves the waterwill seep through filling your spider holes.you can also raise them by a couple of bricks put a 2 metre lenth of horse pipe into the bottom and burry the rest apart from end put a rubber plug in and then get a exstension part for your horsepipe connect the two put yr finger over end till you reach your plants and water away[but u do have to keep your eye on weather forcast burry has many has you can i even silone vegatation to the top so people cant see them may save your legs for a week or 2 depending on how many u do do all this weeks b4 plants go in.IF WATER IS THAT SHORT FILL THE SPIDER HOLES WITH WATER FROM HOME GOOD LUCK BRO HOPE ALL GOES WELL.

if its a place you think your going to us yr after yr. what i do is dig a large hole. for as much water as you need. i then place down old carpet or blankets. then plastic the thickest stuff you can get. i then dig a large rain collector. a inch or 2 deep at least 10 feet by 10 feet. make sure the water runs down hill to your storage. place a blanket under that to. and again on top. and then put the soil back on top. no one will see this. i like to build a wood box around the top of storage. so i can cover it with ply wood. i then cover that with brush and only let enough of a opening to get a bucket in. iv even used a solar panel and littel water pump. when i t gets low. if you do this make sure you dig a big deep hole. i dont us plastic anymore i us old rubber roofing but im not hiking 10 miles out that stuff is heavy.
