Be wise to know the person before you attempt to defend the bullshit and if you don't know that @schuylaar enjoys the stupid role I would suggest you go back and read.
You can start by using this wonderful sites search function. In the search box type " cite". then in posted by member "schuylaar".
Then if you want to keep defending the stupid, let me know.
Also mail me some damn Poutine
Defend? I didn't defend anyone. I simply offered an alternative perspective on people who ask for links. Laziness and/or lack of intelligence are not the only reasons someone might ask for a link.

For all I know, @schuylaar is a total moron - or pretends to be one. That has nothing to do with me and there is no reason to assume that I know it. It is not relevant to the point that I made.

I won't be taking your advice and reading all of @schuylaar's posts to determine his/her intelligence, and I will not "keep defending the stupid" because I never began.

Poutine is over-rated, except for one small chip truck in the Ottawa Valley, north-East of Ottawa. I live on the other side of Canada, now. That chip truck is the only thing I miss.

This explains why you demand to be spoon fed information.

No curiosity, no drive, not interested in learning. Just sit back and criticize.

Thanks for clarifying.

I stand by my point that citing the source of information is a simple and courteous thing to do and creates a common starting point for civil conversations. I'm not saying we should be compelled to do so, however.

Perhaps when someone asks for a link, it isn't always due to being lazy or unable to use google. In some cases (not this one, as you have said) it could be that different sources are providing very different versions of "the truth"™ and the requester is simply interested in knowing where the OP's information came from. There are probably other valid reasons why someone might ask for a link.
don't waste your time speaking of sense and kindness in debate. you won't find it in any of those 5-7 losers.

Even more droll is the fact that the French Canadian pronunciation of "poutine" sounds a lot more like "Putin" than we anglos think. In our effort to pronounce "poutine" like a French person (poo-teen), we sound like idiots to the French Canadians.

"Poo-tinn" is the correct way, but the "t" almost has a "th" sound. Almost. It's fucked.

Yeah, I don't disagree with that in general but in this case, the news was covering it pretty well. I was using a cell phone at the time and it was not the easiest thing to provide a link so I dispensed with it.

You are walking into a situation that has some history here and some of the regular users (perhaps even one that liked your post) have shown a remarkable degree of laziness in asking for citations while simultaneously asserting that they were unnecessary for her posts due to their obviousness. I would gladly post her quotes but she recently had a whole thread of hers deleted when she doxxed herself and then woke up sober one day and realized what she had done.

Talking about yourself again?
Returning you your own vomit are you?

Do you really want to talk about your kid again?

OK, fine. Just remember, I didn't bring it up.

There is still time for you to turn yourself around so that you can get with your kid, tty. If you meant it when you said ANYTHING, you "do anything for your daughter", well, this is it. She'd be thrilled if you could take care of your business and make it possible for her to be with her dad.
