Good Wine, Low Price

Just thought I'd share what I'm drinking and see if anyone else wants to help point others in the direction of good yet affordable bottles of wine. I dont prescribe to point systems or high expense (thought they can be very correct), but rather to just my tongue. This does make it difficult because it means a lot of sampling. Anyway, what do you like?

Louis Jadot/Beaujolais-Villages/2010/France/Burgundy/$$:12-20 One of the best "cheap" wines I've had. Easy to find on sale for $11-12 US

had one for 30 i dont remember the name of but it was sweet and tasted good. black river red by dublin was fantastisch because you could taste the grapes. but got sour after you recorked .

not a wine expert. i just like most whites and a little merlot with a juicy steak once in a while. great topic.

I think it's worth mentioning the importance of breathing time. When drinking any wine, but especially for younger and cheaper bottles, you should always give your vino a good 30min or more to breathe. It will improve the taste considerably.

I'll add a couple while I'm here:
Alamos Malbec 2011 (argentina) $8-12 US
Alamos Red Blend 2010 (argentina) $8-12 US

I get a 12 pack of a variety of reds delivered to me quarterly. I think I pay 130$ for it. They are all pretty highly rate wines from around the world. I really enjoy pino noir. But I like most reds. I order from Laithwaits wine, good price and good customer service.

Many great cheap wines, too many.

I usually drink this with my pasta meals

Marenco Bracchetto D'Acqu
Red with pink tendencies. Typical smooth scent of rose, with sweet flavor of crushed strawberry. It can be drunk during the different parts of the day. It matches well with desserts, strawberries and it can be drunk as aperitif.

personally it was sweet and cost 30 a bottle this is at 14 which is very good. again sweet smooth juice perfect. wish the steaks where thick i would have one with it.
