Ive got this stuff thats 6-0-0. It says 1 tsp per gallon. DO you think every other watering i should use this? Also should the plants be water eveyday?

you should water when the plants start to dry out. start your nutes at half mix then build up.

You could but I would get a beter fert. and go every three. For the most part I water every 3-4 days and feed once a month give or take.

Im going today to buy fox farm nutes. You think i should water with the nutes then hold off 2 days then use them again? I water my plants every day- althought not much water.

If you water every day you stand a chance of getting root rot. I can't tell you what to do. but if you feed then that often you will kill them. follow the directions
on what ever nutes you use.good luck.

Its not much water- its 1 full cup per plant every morning...will that cause root rot?

If the soil stays moist all the time yes. you should water well and wait for the soil to dry up some. why do you give them a cup a day? you might read up on watering mj plants. the roots like to get wet then dry out some before watering again. With hydro they get air all the time and that off sets the dry needed in soil.

I water them the time the lights turn on..then the next mornin i go to check soil and its extremely dry again. Every other day might help

Those pots should be plenty big enough to water every 3 or 4 days. I use a pump up sprayer to water. this allows the soil to absorb the water and not just runout the bottom. I give each plant a spray "no standing water on the soil. After the top soil is moist I water each plant with more water. I was using about 1/2 gal of water in each plant. and water 3-4 days. stick your index finger in the soil to the second knuckle
when you feel "no" moisture its time to water again. You want the pots to have some run off. This helps stop any build ups in your soil. Anyway thats how I do it and I use a coco blend too. A couple of pic's of the last grow.

A cup a day in a 3 gal pot is only making the very top moist. You have to water them all the way thru. You want them roots to grow thru the entire pot.

Half a gallon every 3 days seems to be a lot of water althought it prolly makes since cuz the roots would be drying up by the 3 days. Also If i was to use nutrients that would mean id only be able to use them every 6 days because its suppose to have water in between nutes. Do you think it would hurt the plants to just not use plain water in between due to the fact it would be every 3 days?

In my thinking you want the plain water to help flush the nutes out of the soil so you keep everything level. And the soil will only hold so much water anything after that will run out the bottom. I think using nutes once a week is over kill. I would feed them every other week. when you get used to the nutes you'll be able to see when they need fed. I stoped using a schedule to feed. For the most part I was feeding about every three weeks

thanks for the advice once again- althoguh fox farm schedule says to feed every other watteing- you think its over kill?

I would follow there directions just start at half mix and build up. I don't use fox farm but if they say to use every other watering it must be some weak ass stuff. I'm not even putting it down. just think it strange you would pay that much for something you have to use every other watering. Lots of people love the stuff. I just think they got hype for being a mj speciel nute. Be back with more in a bit.

yah- its strong sutff and can burn the plants thats why i was wondering how many time to use it., You must not kno much bout fox farm, i was using outdoors 4 years ago and it still worked incredible. i just was asking bout when to water earlier but thanks,:joint:

Nope don't know a thing about fox farm nutes. I would think you use any nutes once a week it would be ez to burn your plants. I just got some stuff called rockwool magic. a and b the guy at the hydro store says this stuff is every bit as good as fox farm and might be beter. I don't know but will start using this stuff at the next res change. I'm still hit and miss on this dwc set up
