Good morning RIU. My boss is a dick, so i quit

so to make a long story short, our car is broke down right now, and my boss has started being a complete two-faced asshole, so i had to quit my job. so i am sitting at home with my wife and kid, unemployed and without transportation at the moment. but on the bright side, all i was doing lately was working, so this gives me some family time. also got a 1/2 of some skunk so gonna smoke and play with the boy all day. anyone else having a f#%ked up week?

nah man, im on the bottom of the north america map. except for the cold, i wish i lived in canada. i just spoke to him cause my wife took home the keys to a work truck yesterday, and he is all confused, doesnt know "how i'm gonna get by without working" as if he is the only person that will hire me and my family's livelihood depends on him. i've worked for him off and on for 10 years now, me and my good friend are his only employees, he's just forgotten where he came from and the "boss" mentality has gotten to his head in the past few years.

I'm a boss of usually 3-6 guys,,I hate it,,I hate tellin people what to do,,once my guys learn there job they hardly ever hear me give orders,,long as things are flowing along,,everythings fine,,I also allow for democratic decision making by way of votes,,that way stuff stays fair and square,,maybe this is a sign,,that it is time for you to move on to bigger and better ,,good luck on your journey

our company was more of a monarchy, and there was no good work, you are always slacking and can do better. in other words, "yall work harder, im not making enough money". and it has been time to move on to bigger and better things, but i dont even know where to start because we are so far behind in every aspect.

i worked for myself for awhile after katrina, and i hate it. i stress too much over everything, need valiums in a pez dispenser to handle it. the stress affects my whole demeanor and makes me an asshole to the guys. whereabouts in the dirty deep are you at?

yes, under normal circumstances he would, but his job has turned into something undependeble and costing more than it is worth. we have a student loan coming in this week, so we will make it, and i will be working again no later than after mardi gras (next tues) and the car should be too. didnt want to quit under these circumstances, but sometimes a man has to stand up alone even when it puts him in a hard spot; you just have to be man enough to step up to the extra pressures that you put yourself in. besides, my boss is kinda the reason my car is still broke...

yeah man i quit smokin 3 or 4 years ago to get the best job i have ever had. it sucked and i hated it the whole time. now they are trying to fire me for some time i took off for medical reasons. my union man is fighting for me, but there is a good chance i am gone for good. while i wait for the final decision my boss put me on leave with pay. now they wont pay it and i sit on the phone all day while people tell me it is not their job to call someone else to get paid. i called my boss the other day and said dude you didnt e-mail my authorization to get paid and he laughed and said he would. 3 weeks without a check but i get to smoke now lol. fuck those motherfuckers and enjoy yourself. :mrgreen:
