hi ,
im looking for some advice on leds , ive been watching growmau5 channel and am thinking of building a
cob led setup using citizen clu48-1212 as ive found them at a good price
are these still a good led to use for a reasonably priced setup or have things moved on since these were out
also how can you tell which ones are the best bins etc

im looking to build 3 frames with 4 36v cobs 3500k on each frame 36" long to fill a 4 x 4 tent , running them at 1400ma on a dimmable driver , any advice would be appreciated as to if this will be ok and if i should mix up the 3500k with some other spectrum? , if anyone has any better ideas would be glad to hear them tia

Is the tent going to be used full cycle, veg and bloom? 12 COBs total, 4 on each 36" rail? Sounds like it will be good if you ask me, maybe even a little overkill. 9 COBs should cover the space and save you a couple bucks. COB builds are nice, I'm partial to quantum boards myself.

Any mixing of spectrums will really just give you an average of them. 12cobs at 50w each would give you around 600w for the space which is pretty good. 37w per sqft. I think it would be more than enough light to fill the tent up. I would probably go with 90cri over 80

hi
yes plan to use the light for both veg and bloom and dim it to suit , yes i thought it seemed a little too much but 3 on a bar seems a little bit under!!

ive not looked into q boards yet but will take a look

thanks

hi

oh ok so do you recommend 3500k or 3000k if not mixing the spectrum up ,?
can i ask why you would go 90cri instead of 80 , only asking as a little unsure of differences (noob)!
appreciate your reply thanks

Either or is fine, they will both beg and flower plants just fine. Also 90 cri runs a little higher and and further in the red spectrum.
