They are 6 to 7 weeks old. I have them in an attic where there is no heat. I don't know how to get heat to them without plugging a heater into an extension cord. I was told to NEVER plug an electric heater into an extension cord. They are healthy, but the last two days, temps have taken a dive. I thought of putting insulation aroud the base of them. Have done that just today. The temps right now in there is 34 degrees!!I don't know that they'll live. Using FF soil. cfl's. Anyone have an idea for me?

Not saying you should do it ... but there is a grow in the basement and and it's in the 20's out side ... the temp on the plants is 76 ... there has been an electric heater plugged into an extension cord for about 21 days keeping them nice and cozy ... :leaf:

to bad you dont have a hps they give off heat you could close then in a small spot and the heat from the light would keep them warm just a idea you cant move them inside the house

when pluging in a heater in just make sure the cord is a heavy duty one yellow jacket is a good cord you can find them home depot i seen a guy use the fan in his bathroom to put heat in to the attic by unhooking the vent from it and letting it vent the air into the attic just watch the humidity

The space up there is the size of the house! It's all open. I may find a way to close them in more. And thanks for the info. I will get the heavy duty cord. I'd like to get a 250 watt hps light, but i'm afraid it will run the power bill up alot.
