Going inside from out?? couple questions here..

what up.. 4 of my plants will be ready for harvest in a few weeks.. 2 others, well are gonna be there for a while.. im on the east coast and its gonna start getting cold soon. i know i need till atleast mid november which im not sure is gonna be possible.. one is in the ground and one is in a 5 gal pot. i just talked to my brother and he said if it starts getting really cold out and you still have alot of time left that i should just bring it to his place to finish it. the pottet plant wasnt topd so its just one branch with a ton of little shoots coming out from it.. with the pot its easily 8 ft.. heres my questions.

* probally wont be able to stand the plant straight up.. i was thinking about making a wooded jig of some kind to hold the pot at a 45 degree angle so i have enough room. and of course stake any main branches.. will the plant be alright to grow like this when its 8 or so weeks into flower? will the branches grow up toawrds the light or should i put some bulbs on the bottem of the plant to?

* oviously this is an outdoor plant. i cant really get any fancy lights.. i started them all inside with 4 cfl bulbs. how many cfls will i need to ensure it gets enough light coming from outside to in.. i was planning on atleast getting ten or so.. i was gonna put them going from the top of the plant going to the bottem and a couple under the plant. how many you guys think?

any comments, questions, concerns would be greatly appricated

thanks guys

You could just tie the top part of the plant down insead of tilting the pot. The branches will always seek out the light, so you won't have a problem with that. CFL's are a long way from the sun, but hey, it's what you got. You'll determine how many you need by how well (rate of growth) the plants are doing. Just watch the temps as the cfls can throw some heat off.

if youre plant that is in the ground is pritty big and mature it should be abile to with stand the chill and if you know of up coming frosts just go out when it gets dark and cover the plant with garbage bags or what ever is big enough this should protect it. this stands true for youre plant in the 5 gal nucket it should def beabile to with stand the cold.

i could tie the plant off but it still might not be enough room. im gonna go check it for spots i could put it.. i just dont think im gonna have enough time.. it only started flowering 2-3 weeks ago.. i gotta make it another ten. its been getting pretty cold here at night tho. i may just get like 20 cfls. should i mix and match daylight and the other one for flowering? also should i just start it at 12/12 or look up how many hours on that last day i have it out and go by that?

i really dont think you need to take them inside like i said but there youre plants do what you want with em.....but once agine they'll be fine outside theres no reason to bring em in...hell you could live the one in the bucket out in the day and just bring it in at night and put it in a dark closet and take it back out in the morning....i think youre guna hurt youre self putting it under cfls you'll have thicker buds in the sun.

all depends on the weather really.. if its not to to cold in november ill keep it going out there. im gonna cover them with frost blankets until its just simply to cold out. just want to see if anyones had some success doing this.. one positive would be that i could completly finish it indoor

20 cfls would cause some definite temperature issues (too hot!), especially if your space is so small you can't even tie the plant down. Hey, I'm in Northern Ontario and still have two plants outside and right now, that's where they're staying for at least the next two weeks (which are supposed to be nice). We've even had frost (last night and one night last week) with the temperatures going down to plus 3 celcius. Checked 'em today and they're doing fine.

thats what i was thinking that room would be like 95 degrees

probally doing it in his bathroom. could just leave a window open or put a couple fans in.. what about if it gets under 32 at night for a couple days straight?

id be kinda worried about it dipping to 32 for a few straight night i dont think one night of that weather would hurt but a few in a row might cause probs...and if its in his bathroom i dont think there would be a heat issue unless its tiny like a closet....i would most definatly put a fan on them no matter what and opening a window would help keep the air nice and fresh and circulated with taht fan.i see you having trouble with the lights in there though how you guna hang em and keep the plant in complete darkness when there will be people coming in there while its in its dark cycle to use the restroom.

ziptys and ducktape work wonders my friend.. should have seen what i made for a starter box in my uncles drop ceiling. shit was legit. im sure ill be able to figure a plan out.. went back and watered the one in the bucket.. its a couple weeks ahead of the other one. small budsites are starting to form and all.. also just looked at waether online.. tonight low is suppose to be 46.. i checked weather for the rest of the month and i dont really see it dropping lower then 45 for the rest od sept. who knows tho?? just hope october isnt a bitch to me. hasnt rained much this summer compared to years past and its been super hot all summer.. who knows i might get lucky and atleast make it into november
