Going from dirt to aero "Harvesting a nickle bag every so often"

Hello all, I'm in the process of going from dirt to an aeroponic setup (see stinkbud) thanks. I have multiple types of plants that are in dirt and I have the ability to make clones of them. I have three units at this point, a cloner (23 holer), vegger (18 holer), and the fence post setup flowerer (14 holer). I got 7 of the holes filled already in the flowering room with Barney's Blue Cheese. I am using the three part flora series from general hydro for the nutes. The picture on the left is Barney's Red Diesel, It has fat ass leaves that look like lettuce. The picture on the right are of the cloner and vegger, they get overhead cfl light and side lighting from a single 400 watt metal halide. I am making a transition from dirt to hydro but I still want to retain my mother plants in dirt. My mother's in dirt that I have right now are Barney's Blue Cheese, Belladonna, Barney's Red Diesel, and Serious Seeds White Russian. I also have new sprouts of Strawberry Blue, Kc Brains something or another, and Big Buddah Blue Cheese. Any and all comments or advice is all good and I'm just learning my way through this.

and the flowering room. I just put the plants into the fence post unit. They just got a week of veg because I wanted to get the ball rolling shall we say and speed up the process. The other 7 holes will have 1' tall and above plants.

And here are the roots from one of my Blue Cheeses. They are approximately 20 inches long. I will stop pulling them out all the way because they will soon wind around the ez clone sprayers and the other plant's roots.

And this is a Barney's Blue Cheese that I just put into flowering. I got some clones off of her so I'm going to let her flower out. I want to get rid some plants that are currently grown in dirt. Check out the jagged edges on the leaves.

These are the powerskunk freebees that the 'tude was giving away. They are tall and lanky. I'll just let them do their thing for 3 months and I'll see if it was worth my time. They will probably get 7 foot tall before I chop 'em. Probably a great outdoor strain, but in my room?

Very nice. I hope to try aero one day. So they grow that fast huh? I am not a fan on couch lock, but there are those heavy day at work. I have perpetual so i will experiment with different harvest times and effects.

I made up a controller for my pumps to prevent the burning out of the timer. It was made of recycled parts and I have yet to get a cover for it. It will cover 30 amps of power and I have a 20 amp fuse for the room (It's overkill). The box uses 2 plugs one for timer and one for wall power, then you just plug in the pumps, I will eventually have 5 pumps running. The box could easily be used to switch the power for the lights too. I also have a battery backup to prevent the whole op from going South in the event of a power outage. and the far left picture is the flowering fence post, I used 5" square fence post. I am going to try and take a picture every day of the flowering unit so I can see the growth, aka..time lapse photography.

That will work def. I like your setup. I take it you have a light mover on the light to the left?

on the flowering side I'm not to high tech yet. I have a raw 1000 hps that hangs down and I have two 250 watt HPS lights, one covering the fence post nft unit and one hanging above those soil plants. I would love to invest in a light mover.

And I moved some stuff around in anticipation of fitting another fence post design in my room. Here is a cfl chandelier that I can place above the ones in veg.

A weekend of growth has taken place. I've got all 14 holes filled in the flowering unit. This is also a picture of the vegger.

sure are growing quick for me Dewey, I'm getting some additional additives for the nutrients. I'm picking up Fox Farm Beastie Bloomz, Open Sesame, and Cha Ching. Gotta love the sound of Cha Ching, I was thinking about $ when I picked it up. Anyway the biggest problem I have is the plants growing up into the Cfls and burning their leaves. Stuff is getting a little funky smelling now and having to run the exhaust and carbon scrubber 24/7.

Dam, well, we should be able to compare samples and harvest at the same dates and see if there is a difference. I plan on harvest at 7 1/2 and 8 and maybe 6 1/2 and see where i like them at.....Bud porn update if ya want to swing on my...............

Dewey does have some nice bud porn. Dewey's shit is da bom, looks like my bellas from a year ago. Not a lot to report on my science project. Changed all my nute water on my flower unit and veg unit. Waiting for the fancy additives to come in so I can add some explosive shit to my water. Noticed that some of my plants are firmly attached to their holes, the roots have found a home, no more fucking with pulling out the plants to inspect roots.

Nice work. I can't wait to see what you pull of the belladonna's snatch! Cant wait to see her peaches! Shake her tree hehe!

Hey dragonbud!

I like your aero setup, very nice. A light rail would be supreme for that... maybe Cha Ching $$$ will help with that?

I use GH's 3 part also and have had great success with it. I also use GH's Liquid Koolbloom (0-10-10) during flower. Let me tell you, Koolbloom should be called "Old Man Winter" for the way that it packs the "frost" on your plants.

If you aren't using H2O2 yet, I suggest getting it as soon as possible.

I used Fox Farm and it worked well. My Clone harvest in my sginature at the bottom shows a good harvest off a 400W using Fox Farm soil and nutes. Good shit.

Now I am using Same Fox Farm Nutes for my veg room since its currently still soil as a growing medium. But my Flower chamber is hydro so I went with some nutes made in Holland. House And Garden! It is growing some very nice plants and budding well on the belladonna's. I think my 7 inch clone in flowering that will be done in a week or so will have one single bud cola after trimming will be the same size of a coke can! And they where only 3 inches when I stuck them in straight from RW off the clone bench straight to flower.

Very impressive to seem them so short and huge in girth! House & Garnden got there shit in line for shizzle!
