Going away for a few days

Hello.

So im hand feeding my 5 plants at the moment. There all about 3 inches tall and are in rockwool blocks in coco. I didn't really want to buy a hydro system i just wanted to handfeed them. Im going away for 3 days however. I obviously dont want anyone coming over to water them while im away. Does anybody know some cheapass way of setting up something to auto feed them while im gone?

Maybe buy something like this - Water Timer

I am sure you can head down to your local hardware store and find one for around $20

Put them in dirt.

leave them in dirt without watering for 3 days? you think they will be ok?

If it's quality soil then yes.

I went away for 5 days about a month ago. Well, 6 days, 5 nights.

I watered the hell out of them for two days leading up to my departure, and put a wet paper towel over the top of the soil to keep moisture in. The plants went all 5 days, and were perfectly fine.

There still pretty small though, but its a week till i go so i hope they handle it.

If theyre real small, a humidity dome might not be a bad idea.

Soil and water...just straight soil (holds water longer)..and change later..or not W/ever...like towel idea....

(that got a +rep)
