Exactly what i was driving at 
there is no way you can be so poor that you can afford to grow but not buy a $5 timer.
you actually get up every day and manually turn your light on and off every 12 hours? Sounds dumb to me.

if its early enough and you fly the straight and narrow till the end, you might be ok with one day of dark.

Which is exactly why every grower worth his salt uses a timer and every single grow guide talks about timers. Why would you go out of your way to complicate life just for the sake of $5?
But as above, it can be strain dependant, but you should be ok.

Good to hear. But this sounds like a typical case of someone growing before theyve done their homework, a typical recipe for failure. A timer is typically one of the first things people buy before they even take delivery of their first seed.
Humans are not reliable 100% of the time; there are always potential mitigating circumstances. Get a timer. Even good, easy-to-use digital ones are less than $25. Manual ones can be bought for $3 to $5.
