So I just started flowering a Dinafem Super Silver plant in a ScrOG setup, but I'm planning to convert this grow space into a perpetual SOG once the ScrOG is done. Assuming I'm happy with this plant, I'd like to keep a clone/mother box and use that to supply fresh clones for the SOG every week or so.
Here's the clone/mother box I made:

As you can see, it's a pretty small box. I'm planning to use a soil container that fits the entire bottom of the box snugly, and then have it only be a couple inches deep (bonsai-style, which is another of my hobbies). That will limit the vertical height I lose to the soil and container. However, using that setup, I would not really have room to veg (or even root) the cuttings in the box, so I'm considering just putting them directly into the flowering box. But I've never heard of rooting cuttings under 12/12 before.
So here's my question: Is it possible to root cuttings under 12/12? This is a sativa strain that flowers for 90-100+ days, and the plant I have so far is exhibiting rapid and vigorous growth. Here's a photo of the plant today day 28 from seed, and this is despite a FIM at the 3rd node (which slowed things down), and the removal of two branches to be cuttings:

But the problem is I don't know if being under 12/12 stops root formation (obviously something that would kill a cutting that isn't rooted yet), or if there is some other major problem associated with trying to root under 12/12.
I realize this will not produce as high yields as it would if I root them or veg them a bit first, but high yields aren't my goal here. I just want to make sure they will root and then continue to grow enough that they will produce some reasonable amount of bud for such a small plant. So.... will they?? Thanks!
