okie so my first crop is almost done flowing and now im getting ready to start to buy the supplies for the next crop.

i have a 4 x 5 walk in shower that i turned into a grow room, which works really well becuase its all shiny white tiles that reflect. and my goal is to yield one pound. i got a 1000 watt to use and a big circle type reflector that fits the whole room.

just wondering what your guys opinions are on how to achieve this goal

my thoughts are to get around 15 plants veg to about 2 feet tall then flip into flower. while using a bunch of good nutes.

My opinion is you go more like a sort of Sea Of Green Method. Fill your room up with seedlings or cutlings, rather close, let them root for a week or so, when they really start growing, switch to flower.

The reason i say this is that nomatter the hight of the plants, you will get a green tree top like canopy, where most of your yeld is. If the plants are two feet tall, no light will really get through to the lower buds, and the side branches will have to shoot up to grab a place in the top canopy.

But if you do the SOG method, you won't have to wait for side buds to develop. The plants themselves will shoot straight up during the first weeks of flowering, and grow great big buds, just as if the canopy was higher, with fewer plants.

I yeld 450-650g in 1.2*1.2 metres growroom using 400w HPI and 600w HPS.

This is my opinion, hope it can help you find your own technique :-D

yeah i am getting clone i got some blueberry lined up.
so for a sea of green. i should just like put as many plants as possible? i messaged it out and i can fit about 25 (around 1.5-2 galon) pots.

in typical sog most people recommend putting one plant per sq ft. if your grow area is 4'x5' you could fit about 20 plants in there. if you have your growing technique down and have a decent yielding strain, you can get an oz or more per plant. that come out to 1.25lbs.

with how many lumens per squre foot is the question though.i don't think a 400watt will put out 1.5 or even 1

i have a 1000 watt so im not so worried about about what a 400 watt will do. i do have a 400 watt but im going to be using that for some moms in a deffrent room
