Gnats in Grow Tent

Hey, I have a a good amount of unwanted gnats in my grow closet, in my soil and on my plant. What should I do to get rid of these buggers? They don't look like fungus gnats, but they have red eyes and look smaller than fungus gnats

Terminator gnats? (I'll keep looking)

Sounds like fruit flies. For all gnats, just put a thin layer of D. Earth or sand on your soil. That will break up their egg/larvae/adult cycle. You could put some traps out to catch the adults.

Put a pantyhose to cover your pot so the gnats will not be able to fly out of the soil and make sure you are not overwatering because that what usually calls for the gnats.

this stuff is cool. i kinda made my own with regular drainage (pumice) about 1/2" thick on top, and then put the Diatomaceous Earth on top of that. But the gnatmix is ready to go. 1" layer and you're good. helps break up your water before it hits the soil to prevent erosion of the soil. i believe every larger soil container should be mulched, even starting to mulch the little ones.

go gnats work awesome

gnatrol

yellow sticky boards PLUS anything above or below

bti mosquito dunk granules are good also

spinosad will knock em down, but a little overkill for just gnats.

you need to reapply every 3 days for at least 2 weeks to fully kill their life cycle and egg cycle.
