The plastic may retain a smell is all i would think would be a problem. glass is best in my opinion.

plastics are an oil product and as far as i know thc will absorb into oil and fat. I dont know if the amount of oil plastic storage containers secrete will make any difference or not so i only store in glass just my 2 cents
