glass for heat shield

hey i have been out of the country for 5 years and i get home and want to start up my grow but my glass for my hood is broken/lost. Anyone know where i can buy a new one ? it is a sunsystem air cooled.

I found my replacement on Amazon, believe it or not. Many of the internet retailers that sell the hoods sell the replacement glass shields too.

Check out a local glass shop. Not smoke shop but like where you get glass cut to size. You can get any diameter/length you need of anything glass.. usually next to a steel yard or construction type businesses ...the one in my area will do a cool tube sized piece for 20 bucks..

A lot of hardware stores will also cut glass to whatever size you want.

You can't use regular glass....it has to be "tempered".

Why does it need to be tempered . Either way a glass shop will do it very cheap a pane of tempered glass would be bout the same price as what I said for a cool tube.

That's what they use if you check them. I'm thinking it does a better job withstanding the heat....and if it breaks/shatters, it won't be as dangerous.
