Gh nutes question about ph?

I have seen a bunch of posts from homebrewer using gh flora so I hope he reads this!

A quick question I make my mix with water that I let stand for a few days the nutes buffer my water to a nice 6.0 ph but as I grow it never changes I read post where everyone has to adjust there ph all the time but mine never changes throughout the plants life cycle it just stay's at 6.0!

So what I am wondering is why is it that there is no harmful bacteria in my system and I have just plain great tap water with no ppm readings?

I am not bitching it is one less thing to watch for just wondering why is all?

Sounds like you've got 99 problems and a b*tch ain't one ;).

I've found that the 2 days following my res change, I'll need to adjust the pH. For the 5 remaining days in the week, my pH stays where I put it which is 5.8 and no adjustments are needed. Maybe it has something to do with your water? Maybe letting it sit out is helpful? I've noticed that if I over-feed, my Ph swings happen for more days throughout the week, like maybe I'll have to adjust the pH for 4-5 days out of the week. Regardless of the exact chemistry behind it, the one thing I've noticed is that if I feed my plants correctly, I'm adjusting my pH a lot less.

Ya I am not new to this just new to posting about it lol but I am just lucky i guess maybe I should post some pics for ya to examine and you can give me some advice but we do have great tap water and I have found gh to be great saw a few of your pix and appreciate your time to comment dude!

Just wierd that I never have to adjust like ever, never any ph down throughout my whole grow!

I use the basic gh flora series no extras and a areoflo 24 oldschool setup with some blueberry clones in there flowered with 3 days veg I am glad you are responding to my posts I hoped you would!

Do you recommend using there koolbloom product?

Here are some pix 3 days veg 4 days flowering let me know what you think for nute strength they are running 600 ppm at a ph of 6.0!
Oh yeah I am just learning to use to camera in the bright light sorry lol!

I don't have a TDS meter so I have no idea what my PPMs are :?. I think your girls look very healthy so keep up whatever you're doing. In regards to liquid koolBloom, it's really nothing more than a more potent version of FloraBloom and when used in combination with florabloom, it has a tendency to burn at the suggested rates. I use koolbloom at about half strength and need to cut way back on the florabloom to get it to balance. Anyways, with your 3-part, the suggested schedule should work great. If you were using more of their products, i was going to suggest a few things to get them to work better together.

Na just the 3 part formula I have used hygroenzyme in the past but its been awhile since I grew and my enzyme is gone bad lol been out of the loop for awhile and thought maybe I was behind the times but it looks like things haven't changed much in the last couple years!
Got to go to bed soon as I need my rest my job is dangerous and can't afford to be sleepy at work!
But I look forward to talking to ya in the future dude if ya don't mind!

Ok thought i would post some more pics girls are growing like mad!
Tonight is there 8th day of flowering and are a total of 11 days old 600 ppm ph 6.0 and will be doing as res change in the next couple days!
The new food flavor will be 1 part grow 2 parts micro 3 parts bloom of gh flora nutes at 900 ppm ph 6.0!

Any questions or advice is greatly appreciated!
Peace!!

im trying to learn to identify problems... this last set of pics he posted i see some curling under on some leaves. Is this the start of over fertilization? or???? and what color are the fan leaves suppose to be im at about the same stage of flowering and my leaves are a dark green. and the newer stuff is a little lighter and growing more straight out without any downward curl. only the big fan leaves have the curl. can anyone suggest a good book to learn about this stuff im pretty new

Usually the leaf curl is accompanied by yellow tips, but his still look fine and it's nothing to worry about. It also looks like he's taking pics with the lights on which will always cast a gold or yellow tint.

Yep you are correct homebrewer the leaf curl could be due to the strain it is blueberry and is known for this trait and also like low strength food so I have been easy on them!

I like what you said in your journal about smelling your plants for food strength that and a ppm meter tell me what to do also use one technique when I start a new fresh res and say the ppm is 1000 parts when I check it the next day if it jumped to say 1200 ppm it is to strong I find with vigorous plants they should be able to suck up the nutrient as fast as the water if you are in the sweet spot and only have to top every other day and if you need to add more nutes cause it went down in one day then it was to week!

So I use all these signs to adjust nute strenght!

Well did a res change today changed from all purpose flavor to bloom 3 parts bloom 2 parts micro 1 gro flora nutes the ppm is up a bit at 850ppm and a ph of 6.0!

Can't wait to see them tomorrow to see if they liked there new bloom food they seem to want it a little stronger so it went from 600ppm to 850ppm!
