GH 3 Part system or GH Maxi Gro and Maxi Bloom dry solution?

I decided to go with GH to save some money, and i know it's a well known and trusted company.....Which is better to use? anyone on here that has tried both, or have pics of your grow using either?.... I'd very much appreciate it if you can help me make a decision by the 1st of the month, when i place my order at EZHydroGrow.com (the most affordable site i have ran into... cheaper than ebay and amazon when placing larger orders... (no, im not trying to promote the site or anything, I just want you all to know, incase there is anyone else out there like me who doesnt live near a hydro shop). HTG is good for lights, but this place is alot cheaper when it comes to nutes, and other supplies and reasonable shipping.... Still gonna be like 30 bucks, on a $120ish order, cuz i have to order some hydroton, and it's only 5 bucks for 10 liters, but costs a little more than 10 bucks to ship it, so...... I'm gonna go with GH base nutes, and Liquid Karma, and MAYBE a flushing solution, and some Netpot lids for a 5 gallon bucket, and other stuff i need...

I hear people having great results with the maxi products. They are inexpensive also. Money well spent. If I was in your shoes I would get the maxi products. And do a test between the maxi grow and maxi bloom. On a couple plants feed the grow only all the way through veg and flower. And the same with the bloom on a different set of plants and see which one you have better results with.

I have had great results from the 3 part, flora nova and now I am using the maxi grow maxi bloom dry. I think they are all similar formulas when mixed as directed. I have whittled my nute regime down from Flora nova, Floralicous, Florablend, Floranecter down to the Maxi series and molasses. The only reason I am considering going back to 3 part is I don't need the ph buffers since I'm using RO water. I'm getting better results every round. I would atribute this more to getting the enviroment right more than what's on my shelf.

I used the GH Flora 3 part for over 15 years with outstanding results. The company just knows how to make basic nutes that plants like. They are also very forgiving.

I have recently switched to Cutting Edge Nutes, which is very similar to GH. The only reason I switched was because a friend gave me a new strain that he had been feeding Cutting Edge and I wanted to make damn sure I duplicated his results. There is alot on the line with this particular grow. LOL

Budley, good observation on the atmosphere's influence on your plants growth. If most people spent more time on atmosphere and canopy shape, and less on adding the latest Super Turbo Bud Pumper to their nutes, they would enjoy better harvests for less money. Cheers.

Yes, They are very inexpensive..... But what do you mean using just grow on one set of plants, and just maxi bloom on an other?.... I heard of people getting good results with Maxi Bloom alone, but i didnt know ppl were also having good results using Maxi Gro alone also.... Hmmm...... Maybe I'll do that...... and maybe I'll do Only Maxi Gro all the way on 1... All Maxi Bloom on an other, and Both Maxi Gro for veg, and Maxi Bloom for Flower on a third plant, all in the same conditions, and same Soil..... I'm planning to start an outdoor harvest, and a 600w Grow both simultaneously, So my goal is having 4 LBs of both indoor and outdoor bud...... I should have it all by Mid July-Late July...... Mid August for outdoor the latest..... I'll make sure of it..... And just got the greenhouse ready also...... Excited!!..... S.A.G.E, A.Train, Super Lemon Haze, Bubba Kush, Diesel and White Widow (Both by Dinafem), Qrazy Train, Heavy Duty Fruity, Pineapple Express and a Vertigo Auto strain....... I went on a rampage planting seeds... I'll choose 2 moms or 3, and and those will be my Indoor Crop, and the rest will be my outdoor.... Still dont know which will be which.... Maybe my most healthy and vigorous plants will be my indoor...... they're still seedling... Biggest is the SAGE, and only about 3 inches tall..... Would of been bigger, but I topped it at the 3rd node 2 weeks in.... Stay tuned.... I'll soon make my grow thread...... I will have to make 2 i guess since both indoor and Out sections of the forums.... hmmmm

Yes, You told me about your super simple K.I.S.S method on your 20k watt grow....lol

OK...I see some irony there. But, really, we tried to make it as simple as we could, while keeping the size the same. Sounds like you have a nice strain selection. I like that. Greatr way to start all grows. Now all you have to do is match the strain with the environment! LOL Like, which ones go inside, which outside.

BTW, it's the Maxi Bloom that you can use alone. Don't waste your time trying with Maxi Grow.

What I meant to say was, let's say you have ten plants. On 5 of them use just the maxi gro from start to finish and on the other 5 just use the maxi bloom also from start to finish. And at the end of your run see which set of plants you had better results with. If you start a grow journal I be more then hapu to watch.

Google of the K.I.S.S method that goes more into details about just using the Maxi bloom. There pictures also. Either way good luck with what you choose.

I always assume that the guys at GH know more about this than I do and they recommend a Veg and a Flower formula. Even Lucas of the Lucas formula fame said he got bigger buds when he ran the GH veg formula before switching over to his mixture.

It's easy, cheap and is recommended by 5 out of 5 smokers who sampled my last batch!

I only pay 12 dollars a kilo sak, ad a sak of kool bloom to it and a few jars of unsulphered molasses and your done for under 50 bucks a cycle!

I think people get too caught up in feeds. They're all pretty damn good. Some just have better marketing than others. Increases in yield more often come from increased skill level and refinements in the growing space than that bottle of alien bat shit you paid 100.00 for. Unfortunately, the bottle of shit often gets all of the credit for the improved yields and quality of the garden.

So you use Maxi Bloom for veg, and Kool Bloom for Flower stages?....... So there is no need for the grow? :/.... I think i'll still get it.... hmmm... or maybe the 3 part....lol... Got till tomorrow..

I start with Maxi Grow until about 7 days after i flip the lights. I only veg for a week. Then i go over to Maxi Bloom with about a 1/8 dose of kool bloom which is ramprd up to full strength by full flower. I do molasses from the beginning to end with significantly more in flower.

I just chopped tonight. I had 36 plants under 2k.

This is by far my best crop, yet I spent a fraction of what I spent my last ones. Now if I were to have just switched brands of nutrient, I'm sure I would be totally sold on that brand and singing it's praises to any and all that would listen.

Now I know that I'm giving them a solid, proven nutrient program. If I have any defeciencies or problems, I know it is environmental. Just the smallest tweaks have made the biggest improvements. Started another 27 tonight, they already been veging under a 1k-mh for about 5 days. I'll give them the weekend in their new home and flip them. Should have them under 3 ushio 600's in fresca sols by the end of the weekend instead of the 2 1ks.

I am running a totally sealed system with total environmental control. I run the room hot 82-85f and co2 @1500ppm.

I think anything from GH will do you well as will any other good quality nutrient program. I guess the point that I am trying to make is if the feed is correct and your having any issues. It is likely environmental. too hot. humid, wet, bright etc.... But the answer we are often sold comes in a bottle at a high price.
