Getting Seedlings ready for DWC

i have a RDWC set up and i only have a small light from my propagator and the rest of my lights are 600w...

how do you go about getting the seedlings ready for the system..

i.e

i soak my seeds... then pop into root riots (in the prop)... now say the tap root is out the bottom of the cube, i need to transfer the cube to some sort of grow medium?

surely my 600w lights will be too powerful?
 
Probably not too powerful just a waste of electricity.

Use your small light for the propagator.

I run seeds in an aerocloner. Works well.

When I ran cubes id fill up the cube then xfer.

will the seed not fall through the collar? or how do you hold the seeds in the aero cloner?
 
I use the 1/4" thick ones and germinate the paper towel method and wait till taproot is about an inch. I put the seed on top of the collar and snake the root down. Put a netcup around the collar to keep the collar closed and then into the cloner.
 
I put the brand new unpopped seed in the rapid rooter and place the rapid rooter in it's final destination immediatley. The seed germs and the root finds its way down to the water.
 
I soak a riot cube in water pop the seed in and put it in a up turned glass jar and put it in with plant. Works every time once it's come through goes in net pot with clay pebbles then goes under 250 watt mh and hand watered till the roots come through then the roots take over.
