Alright first of all anybody who has gone through the process and might be of any help thanks in advance. Now, I have IBS and it is documented that I have gone through a variety of tests: Upper GI, etc. I contacted the person at CBR through email today and she said that it would have to be documented that I for sure have IBS and that I have tried to use alternate medication for it. Now the only way to conclude IBS is to go through all the tests and have nothing come up, and obviously I would know because my eating drastically effects my stomach, and nothing such as chrons or anything else came up throughout my testing. So I am waiting to look at my medical records myself and see what it says exactly but I would imagine it would conclude IBS. Or it should have anyways. So the problem is there isn't really medication for IBS other than antidepressants and natural medicines. And I refuse to take antidepressants. So my question is if I have gone through these tests and nothing was shown, will it be documented I have IBS? and if not how do I make it documented without sounding fishy to my doctor. Also since you are supposed to have "Tried alternate medicine" and all there is is antidepressants which I refuse to take, other than natural medicines which I have used, does this still apply when it is something like this? Thanks to anyone who can help really looking for some :)

So do you have a regular family doctor here in WA that you're comfortable with? Cuz I have fibromyalgia (cronic pain and ibs) and all I did was copy a sample recommendation off the internet, went into my doctor to talk about pain management, after he told me about all the pills I DIDN'T want to take, I asked him how he felt about mmj, told him I'd tried mj and it had virtually stopped all my pain, asked him if he'd sign the recommendation, he said he would if he knew how to do it (he had never recommended before), I handed him the form, he read it, nodded, took it out and copied it onto a perscription paper (has to be on tamper resistant paper), signed it, and now I'm legal AND pain free. The best part? I didn't pay a dime for my recommendation like you will have to at some of the clinics I've seen people mention in other threads. Anyway, hope this helps

my wife has went through cbr, its your choice as a patient, and its not required, to have tried other medication. its up to the dr. if they dont want to get up to speed with progress i would find another dr. its assinine to make people try something that can not work at best, and worst case make them really sick, when the alternative has nearly 0 side effects.
