Perhaps between shoulders or in the small of your back? High on your thigh, or on your calf/side shin area. Even on your ribs, under your arm, although that is a very painful spot, I've heard. It would make a nice tat, very girly, at least to me. If you PM me I can tell you where to find pics of my tats and their placement. Here are some pics of similar designs with color...

Something like a phoenix might work as well. They burst into flame at death and are reborn from the ashes. It's a nice death/rebirth thing IMO. You could do it in a "girly" way, too.I'll see if I can find a good pic for you, if you want. I am VERY into tattoos and finding meaning and good placement. I have 5 total, and like to learn about them more all the time.
A couple of these may need re-drawn in a style fit for a tat, though.

...but seriously, i'll answer. If you don't mind not being able to see it, then on one of your shoulder blades or as Annabel Lee said, maybe the small of your back, but that's kind of a tramp stamp in the view of SOCIETY, and society sucks.
I don't know, if it was me I personally wouldn't get it if I wasn't comfortable with it at my wedding, i mean it's you- why hide your beautiful self and inner thinkings?
but i can understand something like death, or just anything personal that you wouldn't want other people seeing, because then you'd have to explain it- and trust me, that just gets akward as shit when its someone you don't know and you have to be like, it's personal...
or you could always go with somewhere on your legs, that's always sexy

Then I think this one may be the best match. Foot placement, lots of blues and pinks. You could take both to your artist and say "I want this picture with these colors", and they will do it for ya
Edit: Some artists won't do foot tats as they are difficult and fade quickly. You may have to call around a bit and look at the artist's other work to see if you like their style.

It can fit. The artist could draw it to size depending on your foot. I've also seen feet tats where, if the design is too big, they will go 1/2 and 1/2 on each foot. It's really up to you on how you want it done. I take it this is your first tat? Most artists really try and work with you on design and sizing. If they won't, then don't get a tat with them. The tat in that pic is actually a pretty good size. It goes from her toes to the ankle. That's around 6 inches or so. Plenty big enough, IMO, for your tat. You could even have it just above the foot, near your ankle, and have it wrap around to the back.

Please don't put it on the small of your back! I'm sick of seeing tramp stamps. You seem like a nice girl, avoid the tramp stamp. It would also look good on your thigh, either inner or top/outer. Would definitely look good on your ribs (which hurt a bit, and tickle a lot if your ticklish). Top of the foot would be cute, if you were able to get it that small without losing any detail.
