Germination?

how long should it take seeds to germinate, Ive been trying for 4 days and barely getting anything, just a little crack in the seed...

I've heard it could take up to a few weeks, hang in there.

I've heard it can take a while. For future reference I kept mine in the fridge with silicone packets to preserve them and when I took them out I soaked them over night in warm water (79F) and 2 of them had cracked the next morning, I moved them all to a moist paper towel sitting on a plate which I placed on a back heating pad on low and the remaining 7 followed within 72 hours.

I had read that when they get wet and warm up from being cold and dry that they are genetically signaled to start germination and will come out enthusiastically. Mine defiantly did.

Here's an idea for next time an idea to help them along the way, also read that if you put them in luke-warm water for no more than 24 hours that they viable ones will sink (and likely germ) and any seeds that aren't viable will float, be sure to stir the water a couple of times over the 24 hours because the viable ones may sink when the surface pressure is disturbed.
