germination question

I'd like to start by saying I received my order from attitude in 8 days in US. Out of the 20 seeds I paid for, 20 of them germed within 30 hours. One of the freebies is a femmed LA Woman. I germed for 7 days using the paper towell method. I could tell it was swollen and had turned greenish white along the seem but it just wouldn't crack. it was already gonna be behind a week so I said screw it, it was free, I'll experiment. I got a disinfected razor blade and gently sliced along the crack and I'll be damned, a little tap root popped out. I put it back in a new damp paper towell and checked the next day. The tap root didn't get much longer but fatter. The roots color looks good. So I put it in soil. We'll see. Has anyone else tried this before? If so did it work and how did the plant react? I'd never manipulated a seed like that before. Just thought it was cool especially if the plants grows with no ill affects. PEACE
