Germination problem

Hey guys,

Buddy of mine and myself are new to growing. We started with 3 plants. 2 are doing fine, sprouted through the top of the soil. Now we have the third one that isnt doing anything at all. At first we put it in the soil to let it germ on its own, but it didnt do anything. So we took it out and tried the paper towel method and still nothing. ( its been about 5 days) So my question is, should we just let it go and plant a new one before the other 2 get too far ahead? Thanks in advance for the responses.

u can start to germ a new one and keep trying to germ the other because it may sprout later and i heardof a seed taking a week to sprout so wait 2 more days and if nothing throw away. im also new so if we can get another opinion by an experienced grower.

I would give it up to two weeks some of them do take awhile! Make sure it stays moist b/c if it dries out it takes longer! Keep the paper towel moist! Wait a little longer and if it doesn't work try another sometimes seeds just won't sprout! Good Luck two out of three isn't bad!

I would say germ another, but place the other 1 in a dark and warm place just in case. A boiler cupboard is a good place.

Alright, thanks for the replies. Gonna give it a bit more time. We dont really have enough room to support another pot, so gonna hold off on trying to germ another.

Germination
The seeds need constant moisture in order to germinate. Therefore, the ground should be well-watered. Keep the soil moist by watering it with a light spray whenever it begin to feel dry. This may mean watering the immediate area once a day. You can keep the soil moist and hasten germination by covering the planted area with transparent glass or plastic. Most of the seeds should sprout in a period ranging from three days to two weeks. This variation depends on variety, age and condition of seed, and soil temperature; the warmer the soil, the faster the rate of germination.
