Germination of White widow

hey. I recently started my white widow and Northern Lights X Big Bud seeds for nirvana-shop. I had about a 50% germination rate..... i was wondering if this is normal, as i had 90% in the past. bad seeds? strain? or is that when you pay less (nirvana shop) you get worse seeds? i couldnt find anything on nirvana that said what their normal germination rates were.... Ty for the help

Fresh seeds have a waxy glimmer and a hard, intact shell.
Colours range from a buff through a dark brown, and from light grey to almost black colours. Often seeds are mottled with brown or black spots, or lines on a lighter field. But that generally just applies to bagseed. Maybe it was the way you germinated? Did you do anything differernt? Temp differernt?

Hey

I've also had an issue with the White Widow from Nirvana, I soaked the seeds in water for 3 days or so, 2 of the finally cracked open. This took much longer than ususal; normally I soak them for a day and theyre all cracked and growing. I put the WW's in the soil after those 3 days and now its been in the soil for 5 days, nothing has popped up yet. Should I junk them or wait a little longer?

i to had problems with the ak 48,wet paper towel 78 degrees 10 popped and died,they cracked and that was about it,now there nl i have seem to be good 100 percent but the phenos are many lol

Ive have white widow from nirvana as well.
The been sitting in paper towel now for 5 days.
I mean, they look ok, they arent rotting, they were healthy and perfect in appearance.
they just wont pop.


Common issue from Nirvana of any type im told.
Going to try to pop them at warmer temps, but as it stands now
i wont be getting seeds from nirvana again, no way.
My guess is, cheap for a reason.

ive always gotten seeds from nirvana and i just ph some water add a tiny bit of nutes and throw the seeds in.
in about 3-4 days i see two nice green leaves. 100% for about 15 seeds

Apologies for high jacking an old post.... Not sure if you still frequent this site but I've just purchased autoflowering white widow seeds from pick and mix and they've been in my grow room (dark) with temp averaging 84 degrees. It's only been 24 hours so far but wondered whether you'd had any knowledge of white widow autoflower and how easy they pop under these conditions? They are inside a few sheets of moist tissue paper, moistened with distilled water in between 2 plates and bagged. Hopefully they'll pop soon.
