Hi all!

im having a problem with Royal Dwarf seed, its a bit cold here now so i decided to put the seed in 2.5g coco + soil pot and turn the light (250Hps DualSpectum) on till it sprout, is it ok or i`m just killing my baby? and maybe you have better idea howto do it if its damn cold outside? (don`t want to use my A/C for that)

Thanks:bigjoint:

You want your temps bout 80..germ rates for me sharply decline as temps drop, really want to stay over 75 imo. Less than that and my rates are cut in half
I don't like to add light till the shell has popped off and the first set of serrated leaves starts to poke out..if you throw em in before they may not be able to handle it and die. Get some roots before you start hid imo...but you are only using 250w so idk man..I use for clones 3-23 watt cfls in a small cabinet. They throw enough heat in the semi enclosed space to get it up to 80 and I put my wet papertowel and seeds on the wood roof atop the cfls....that's how I keep seeds warm to sprout then drop temps to 75 for the first 2 weeks..when situated to up my fem count

I just put mine under T5 lighting and that usually warms to soil surface up to about 73* with ambient room temp of around 65-68.
