Germinating seeds?

Well I've seen on a few threads that some people will put it in between two bits of wet cotton and put it on a saucer. Then I've read some people will put it in between two bits of wet cotton and put it in a air sealed jar (no air can get it) which is the way you do it?
 
well seeds need supposedly need air to germinate. warmth, air, and water for good success rate. But I dont think they need much air because I've succesfully germed bagseeds with very very little air being able to get to them. I put them in a damp paper towel, in a cup, with a little water on the bottom for the paper towel to soak up and stay damp. Then I put the cup in a warm place. Usually on my receiver which isn't to smart with the water and all. Most pop in a day or two.
