Germinated seeds

Hey This is my first crop ever growing and I think I mad a big mistake after my seeds germinated I put them in rockwool with the white tips pointing up instead of down all plants have sprouted but some roots were shooting up 5 of the rockwool have some roots coming out of bottom plants are 2 inches high and its been a week and a half am I doomed are plant going to grow to full maturity. Is there amy thing I can do to save plants or should I just let keep on growing please help ty

I can barely picture this. If you don't see the seed leafs, the cotyledons, pull them out and repot in soil, with the root going down. If they seem to be growing, with leafs, repot them in soil, completely burying the rockwool and all roots.

And if the seed is still around the sprouts "head", crack it open, very carefully (I use two toothpicks) and pull off any membrane holding the "leafs" together.

That's only because they were planted upsidedown, right? My brand new sprout still has the seed around her head, but I figure it'll come off on it's own.

yeah they do come off on their own, and I don't advise tempering with the tops if you are new. I did and I removed a leaf as well, it took my seedling a few good days to catch up...

enough off topic, but on topic... I can't really picture how that happened

Hi. I'm a newbie, too. This is how I germinate my seeds, to avoid mishaps! First, soak seeds for 12- 24 hours in ph 6.0 water, I use distilled water. At the same time you put you seeds in the water-filled shot glasses( if growing more than one strain, be sure to label each one!) prepare ph 6.0 distilled water(1gallon) by adding Clonex or another root stimulator. Not a lot, use the instructions on the bottle. I put this in a plastic container with lid( not the whole gallon) just enough to soak your rockwool in. Soak the rockwool the same amount of time as the seeds. Drain water and squeeze some, but not all water from rockwool. Place rockwool cubes in whatever you will be using for your seedlings. I use a hydrofarm germination station. With clean fingers, remove seeds from glasses(they should have sunk to the bottom or do so if you gently push them down). Place the seeds, pointed end down, about 1/4 inch deep in the rockwool. Cover holes with a bit of rockwool torn from the cube. This has worked great for me! It takes only 4-6 days, from the time you start soaking them, until you will have sprouted your seeds! This is a pic of a seed that I started Saturday.
