whats good to use to make my seeds become female and not males? i read somewhere when germinating the seeds to add a little aspirin to the water when germinating and the seeds will have a much higher rate to be females rather then males.

either a link to a thread describing what methods there are to use, or just post what you know :weed:
 
This is not proven yet to work with marijuana seeds, but there have been promising results. By placing your seeds in a paper bag with a banana peel, the ethelyne gas give off by the rotting banana peel will give you a higher female to male ratio supposedly. Replace the banana every 3-5 days or when it turns all black/nasty. You want to *cure* the seeds for 2 weeks or so, then sprout them as normal.

But dont use a ziploc bag like I did, It Got to wet and I had to change to paper bag.

Put your lights at 16/8 I find I end up with a lot more females that way and don't let your plants get stressed that can really mess them up, as far as the aspirin I have never heard of it but that doesn't mean it won't work. Best way to end up with Females is to buy fem seeds.
 
well i got about 40 seeds i got from my bro.

i saw somewhere i guy saying he put a lil aspirin into the water he germinates with and almost ALL his seeds have came out female using that method.

i guess ill try the 18/6 unless anyone else has any better ideas

hmm i may just have to try that banana thing out :shock: only thing is i don't think i could wait 2 weeks before i start to germinate the seeds:?
 
yeah im pretty anxious to germ mine as well, but I am being paitent this time, besides, im growing outdoors, so the daylight hours are not long enough yet.
 
well i think i may try the aspirin thing 1st and see how that goes, if it fails then ill do the banana thing OR do 18/6 lights.:weed:
