What effect does germinating usually have on the seed itself? I'm at 24 hours, and the seeds appear to be exactly the same. :( It better work this time...

the seeds seem to be a slight bit darker, if at all the seeds seemed to have shrunk a bit.

I have realized that the perfect condition to germ a seed is if the tissue paper is not too soaked as it will suffocate the seed, putting them in a sealed area humidifies the seeds. keeping a close eye on the moisture as areas of the house seem to dry the tissue out faster than others.

my seeds didnt germinate for like like 3 days so i put them on a plate and put them on my computer tower(it gives off quite some heat) and they cracked over night. so maybe there just not worm enough.

I think the heating is not an issue as i have them on top of my laptop charger which is very warm.

But im more worried about how fresh the seeds are. The seeds have been harvested approximatly 2 weeks ago. You guys think its too early to try and germinate them? Im guessing it has to take some time to harden off before i start to germ them. Any ppl out there that have any experience in freshly harvested seeds?
