Genetic freak? Mataro blue growing leaves in triplets

Yeah so my mataro blue is putting out leaves in triplts instead of pairs freak mutation or what?

that plant is a genetic defect in the plant that is for the better though. they are called "triploid" i believe.when they grow in 3's it makes the plant have more bud spots to in the end producing a bigger harves. iv heard even dubbling in bud spots... i am growing one and its 2weeks and a day i think..feel free to check it out,
